Your information
Privacy notice
This notice explains what information we collect through this website, why we use it and what choices you have.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Who is responsible
The private hosts of Almis 1921 in Grindelwald, Switzerland are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact us through the booking enquiry form on this website. Confirmed guests can also use the contact details provided in their booking correspondence.
Information we collect and why
When you send an enquiry, we collect your requested arrival and departure dates, number of guests, name, email address, optional telephone number, message, language and confirmation that you accept the stated use of your information.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, check availability, prepare an offer, administer a booking and communicate with you before, during and after a stay. If a booking is confirmed, we may request further information needed for payment, guest registration, tourist tax, access and legal obligations.
Availability calendar
The public availability view receives only occupied date ranges from our Google Calendar feed. Calendar titles, descriptions and guest details are not shown to website visitors.
Your enquiry is not added to the calendar automatically. We update availability manually as part of the booking workflow.
Service providers and international processing
The website is hosted by Vercel. Technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps and requested pages, may be processed for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
Booking enquiries are designed to be delivered through Resend to the private inbox of the hosts. Vercel, Google and Resend are international service providers and processing may take place outside Switzerland, including in the United States, subject to the providers’ applicable contractual and security safeguards.
Security and spam prevention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. The enquiry endpoint validates submissions, limits repeated requests and uses a hidden spam field. A one-way hash derived from the requesting IP address is held temporarily in server memory for rate limiting.
No method of internet transmission is completely risk-free. Please do not send sensitive information, payment-card details or identity documents through the free-text message field.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
We do not currently use advertising cookies or visitor analytics. Your language preference may be saved locally in your browser so the website can reopen in the same language.
The site may include links to third-party websites. Their own privacy notices apply when you follow those links.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up. Enquiries that do not result in a booking are generally deleted within 12 months.
Information connected with a confirmed booking, payments, tourist registration or disputes may be kept longer where needed to perform the booking, protect legal interests or comply with statutory record-keeping duties.
Your choices and rights
You may ask whether we process personal information about you and request correction or deletion where applicable. You may also object to or withdraw consent for future processing, although we may still retain information where required by law or needed for a confirmed booking.
To make a request, contact us through the enquiry form and write “privacy” in the message. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
For questions about your information or to exercise your rights, use the booking enquiry form and write “privacy” in the message. You do not need to make a booking request.
